Sarah Shaw Boutique

Charlene K retailer: Sarah Shaw Boutique

Sarah Shaw returned to her hometown of San Francisco after graduating from Boston University in 1986. Sarah received a secondary degree in Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and went to work for Levi Srauss and Co.

Three years down the road she grew weary of always having to scout out stores in Los Angeles and New York for inspiring design ideas to bring back to the drawing board at Levi’s. She decided that SF needed a store of its own that could rival the best that LA and NYC could offer. Thus, in 1999, after leaving her design job, Sarah ventured into business on her own and opened what many feel is the most popular women’s boutique in San Francisco, Sarah Shaw.
